Position Overview

We are looking for a Prepress Specialist II who will prepare and optimize client-supplied electronic files for high-quality print production. This individual will ensure that every job meets the technical and visual standards required for accurate and efficient output across multiple production platforms. Working closely with creative, client service and production teams, the Prepress Specialist II will serve as a vital link between creative design and print manufacturing, combining technical precision, efficiency and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with a variety of graphic design and layout software applications commonly used on both Mac and PC platforms.
  • Prepare, review, and manipulate digital files using a strong understanding of multiple file formats, including PDF, TIFF and EPS, from different operating systems.
  • Utilize Fuji XMF imposition software (Mac) and Adobe Creative Suite applications (PC) to prepare files for print production.
  • Apply advanced color management skills to ensure accurate color reproduction across various digital and print formats.
  • Output digital files to multiple output devices while maintaining proficiency with evolving prepress technologies and software tools.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the offset printing process and how color interactions impact final printed results.
  • Ensure proofs and plates are completed accurately, efficiently and within established job budgets and timelines.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team environment to execute successful client projects.
  • Assemble and inspect digital proofs, maintaining a high standard of quality control throughout the proofing process.
  • Produce and inspect printing plates to ensure proper quality and readiness for press.
  • Perform regular maintenance on plate processing equipment to sustain consistent output quality and reliability.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent G.E.D. required.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lb.s and handle materials as needed for production.
  • Capable of standing for extended periods in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Willingness and flexibility to work overtime and weekends when required to meet production deadlines.

Schedule

  • Full-time position
  • 10-hour shift, Monday through Thursday

Education

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Work Location

  • In-person at our Anderson, Indiana location
  • Must be able to reliably commute to the work location or plan to relocate prior to starting (required)

Salary

  • $41,191 - $71,500, commensurate with experience and qualifications
